Store listing field limits, in one reference
Choose a store and field, then paste the exact copy you plan to save. The checker lets you go over the budget so you can see how much to remove. Recheck each translation separately: translated names and descriptions can be longer than the source language.

Frequently asked questions
What is the character limit for an app name?
App Store app names and Google Play titles have a 30-character limit. The App Store subtitle is also limited to 30 characters; Google Play’s short description allows 80.
Are Apple keywords counted in characters or bytes?
The checker uses a 100-byte UTF-8 budget for Apple’s keyword field. ASCII letters and punctuation use one byte each, while accented letters and emoji can use multiple bytes. Commas and spaces are included in the count.
Does the count include spaces, line breaks, and emoji?
Yes. Character counts use Unicode code points and include spaces and line breaks. Some visible emoji contain multiple code points, so a single displayed symbol can count as more than one character. Apple keywords are measured in UTF-8 bytes instead.
Does passing the length check mean my listing will be approved?
No. This tool checks field length, not whether the listing meets all store policies or whether its claims describe your app accurately. A workspace’s release copy report adds further saved-copy checks and suggested fixes.
Can I check copy without creating an account?
Yes. Paste your text, choose the store and field, and the count updates immediately. The text stays in your browser and is not sent to a review or AI service.
