What’s new: free tools, pre-review reports, and competitor monitoring
Meet the free screenshot, icon, and copy-limit tools, the 60-second demo, permission-file reviews, and a release workflow that keeps the details together.

A release can be technically finished while its store listing is still scattered across folders, translated documents, and a checklist nobody has opened this week. The latest Releaseyour.App updates bring more of that preparation into view, starting with three tools you can use without an account.
Three small jobs you can finish for free
- Screenshot resizer: choose an iPhone, iPad, or Google Play target, preview crop or fit, and download a PNG or JPEG. Use a capture of the actual device layout; resizing a phone screen does not create a tablet UI.
- App icon generator: turn a square master of at least 1024px into seven store and web sizes. Download individual RGB PNGs without an alpha channel, or take the complete ZIP.
- Character-limit checker: check names, subtitles, descriptions, promotional text, and Google Play short descriptions as you type. Apple keywords are measured in UTF-8 bytes rather than assuming every visible character takes one byte.
Each tool runs in your browser, without sign-in, a watermark, or an image upload to our servers. The workspace is there when you want to keep the results alongside your app’s versions and listing languages.
See the release workflow in 60 seconds
The interactive home-page demo follows an illustrative release through three stages: upload the artwork, find a missing French description, and recheck the completed example checklist. You can play all 60 seconds, pause, replay, or jump directly to a stage.
It is a walkthrough of preparation, not a claim that a checklist can make the stores approve a build. Its purpose is to make the next action clear before you start with your own app.
Check saved copy before submission
The Releases page now brings a release copy check to saved App Store and Google Play text. Check all saved languages or focus on one. Results separate missing or invalid saved fields from contextual phrases that deserve a human review.
Findings include the field, language, supporting text where available, a suggested next step, and current policy references. A field link takes you back to Localizations. Save a correction and run a fresh check: changing saved copy invalidates the previous result. Read the copy pre-review checklist.
Review the configuration that goes with the release
Open Permission & configuration pre-review in Releases to review built iOS Info.plist XML, optional privacy manifests and entitlements, or a readable merged Android manifest with optional network security XML.
iOS users can select the features the app actually requests so the checker can cross-check missing purpose strings. Android findings cover supported permission declarations, applicable exported-component rules, debug/test-only settings, and network context. Files stay in the browser and the findings can be downloaded as JSON. See which files to provide.
Know when a rival changes its listing
The Competitors tab saves a public listing baseline, then compares later observations. It shows copy before and after, screenshot additions and removals, and gallery reordering. The timestamp is when a check detected the change, not when the rival published it.
Basic includes 1 active competitor per app; Team supports up to 5. Monitoring covers the US storefront, with Google Play requested in English and Apple’s public iPhone gallery. Scheduled checks need the deployed worker; owners and admins can also refresh manually. Learn how to start tracking a rival.
Less retyping when you need help
After signing in, Contact Us prefills your saved name, account email, and current workspace name. You can edit all three before sending a message. It is a small change, but it keeps asking for help from becoming another form-filling job.
